<p>Age 67, of Grand Island, passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. Predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Spencer E. O Boyle, Jr., Lieutenant Colonel Retired., Parents Richard J. and Marilyn E. (nee Burke) Couch. Survived by her sister Linda R. Couch, Marla (Chris) Wendel, Debra L. (Sanjog Misra, Ph.D.) Couch; six nieces and nephews: Greg, Erica, Sephie Faletto, Nicholas (Raechel Perry), Daniel Wendel, Siddharth Misra; brother-in-law Dennis, David (Lisa) O Boyle, and numerous cousins. Vala proudly served as Lifetime VFW Ladies Auxiliary member, Election Inspector, GOP Member, Nanny and snowbird. She enjoyed serving many Grand Island residents morning coffee and lunches at numerous Island locations. A Celebration of Life wil be held from 4-7 on September 25th at VFW Post 9249, 2121 Grand Island Blvd., Grand Island. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully received by Isledegrande, Veterans Administration or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.</p>
