Of Grand Island. Walter was the son of Pauline Zebker and lived his early years in Emporium, PA. The rolling hills of PA remained a major part of his life. He loved the beauty of nature and celebrated the bounty of the land by hunting and fishing his entire life. Walter leaves behind his wife, Marlene Heiberger Zebker, his two children: Wendy (Paul) McNamara and David Zebker. His three grandchildren: Madison McNamara, Jackson Sampugnaro and Evan Ferguson were an added delight to Pop Pops life. He was an industrial radiographer for Frontier Bronze. Later in his work life, he found another job he really enjoyed: he worked at Dicks selling fishing supplies and exchanging fishing stories with new-found friends. He was a caring man who deeply loved his family, friends, neighbors, good food, and all sports, especially the Bills and Sabres. His life will be remembered at Kaiser Funeral Home, 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand Island on April 11, with calling hours from 4-7 and a Memorial Service from 7-8.
